We reserved May 30 - June 8, 2020 before COVID hit the United States (South Carolina). We originally requested a refund from this hotel, but they refused to give us a refund - only a credit. We still wanted to move forward with our vacation once COVID cases would allow us, so we agreed to the credit extension for 2021 (big mistake!). It is now August 2021. Germany only *recently* opened its borders back to the US travelers in June 20, 2021. Our family's vacation time has already passed for the year 2021. To top things off, my husband and I are both nurses who work for the US Government hospital and we are beginning to start our second wave of a COVID spike with the Delta variant; therefore, we are not able to leave our jobs. We requested, almost pleaded, to have our credits be extended to 2022 ... but Central Hotel-Apart refuses to extend our credits or give us a refund! Disappointed is an understatement right now. My family lived in Germany for almost 10 years and we still have family there, so I consider it a second home. Hard lesson learned for our future travels - make reservations with "international hotels" vs local ones because customer service is irrational with Central Hotel-Apart. What a waste of money!

Stayed here in a group of 5 with the wife and children. We had an inter connecting room for the 2 teenage girls. This was effectively 2 rooms but with a door to connect them. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. Only downside was a nearby church with bells ringing every quarter of an hour. Given the number of large churches in Munich I dont think that can be avoided and didn’t unduly effect the trip. Breakfast was very good. A wide selection of hams, cheeses, cereals and bakery items. With hot drinks and juices self served. There is a largish dining area. Our rooms didn’t have a safety deposit box but that didn’t feel like an issue in a city which is one of the safest in the world. The apartments arent particularly central but reasonably easily reached on public transport 2 or 3 miles from the centre of Munich. To get there from the airport the S8 line to Munich Ost is best. Then either the 21 tram to Baumkirchner Strasse halt or a couple of single stage hops on the U5 and then U2 tube lines to Josephburg. A 2 minute walk then completes the journey. Public transport was particularly economic for a group of our size. 12.80 for as much use of public transport as you like within the central area. 24.30 for full use of the network including the airport. All things considered this hotel provided an excellent base for our family to explore the wonderful city of Munich.

Great rooms great place for hotel and easy access . Very spacious and loaded with tablet air in and electric blind shutters although none worked bar the tablet and air in was stuck on 18 .Staff weren’t the most helpful but we managed anyway . Nice shop on end of hotel breakfast is expensive though would of been 4.5/5 stars if the electronics worked , 5/5 if the staff helpful

I booked this hotel for a 2 night weekend family visit to Munich and was not disappointed. While the building is not new, the rooms have been recently renovated. Our room included a balcony which was nice in the early morning sun. The rate was great and included a very good breakfast choice from 6.30am to 10.30am. There is a gym also which on this occasion we did not use. The major advantage of the hotel is that it is 200m from an underground station (U2 line) and then 12 to 15 mins to central station in Munich (get a city tour card for best transport fee). So you get a quiet location but close to the action. Staff were attentive and friendly, the lobby having everything you need to learn about places to visit in Munich and surrounding area. An added bonus was 12 noon check-out, very useful for a weekend stay. I would definitely recommeng the hotel for a short stay.

Lovely apartment with good facilities, breakfast was lovely. Bedroom recently renovated. Not as central as the name would suggest. Easily accessible by underground. Perfect for families. Beautiful location beside a stunning church.
